Overview

Founder of HackUK — free hackathons and tech events for sixth-form students across the UK. HackUK runs free hackathons and tech events for 16-18 year-olds across Britain, bringing together students who want to learn to code, build projects, and meet other young developers. The events aren't competitions — they're workshops and build sessions where you learn from mentors, work on your own ideas, and finish something you can actually show people. No experience needed. I started HackUK to make that on-ramp into tech genuinely accessible, building the events, partnerships, and community from the ground up.

Highlights

  • Ran hackathons across the UK — Campfire Birmingham (23 builders) and Counterspell Wolverhampton (40 builders).
  • Backed by partners including City of Wolverhampton Council, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, the Refract Foundation, and Yubico.
  • Upcoming: Leaf Hacks '26 at Ada Victoria, London, plus the Breaking Into the Tech Space talk series.
  • Built a DBS-checked volunteer and mentor programme, with sponsorship and newsletter channels keeping every event free.
